Comprehensive Planning 2013
The Town of Pittsfield adopted a Comprehensive Plan on August 14, 2007 . The adopted plan complies with state law which mandated adoption of such a plan. The Plan explored many issues facing the Town and provides recommendations for the Town Government in handling future growth and development.
The Plan was put together by a citizens group after consultation with the general populace. The Town had an open house to inform property owners about the plan and ask questions about the plan. The Town also held a public hearing on the draft plan as required by state law. Based on citizen comment from the open house and public hearing, the Town Board approved some changes to the initial draft as part of the adoption.
